Cantina Adanti
The living memory of Sagrantino di Montefalco.
Estate websiteOur story.
- Virtuous, soil-friendly viticulture
- Native grapes: Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Grechetto
- Measured vinifications, at the service of drinkability
Founded in 1972 by Domenico Adanti on the hills of Bevagna, Cantina Adanti was one of the very first estates to believe in the potential of Sagrantino, Umbria's confidential native grape.
The vineyard lies at the heart of the DOCG Montefalco Sagrantino and DOC Montefalco Rosso, with historic plots such as Colcimino which yields Sagrantino Il Domenico, dedicated to the founder.
The house style favours elegance and measure: delicate vinifications, agile sips designed to accompany Sagrantino's natural exuberance and elevate Sangiovese.
Alongside the Sagrantino landmark, native whites (Grechetto, Trebbiano Spoletino) and the Passito complete a range of great coherence, regularly awarded by Slow Wine and the specialised press.
